Assessing compliance and performance [pdf 638kb] of registered agencies is a major role and an integral part of day-to-day functions.
We assess primarily via the following annual regulatory activities
- agency regulatory review
- financial viability assessment
- performance improvement review
Agency compliance is demonstrated by
- meeting of specified legislative obligations and timeframes
- meeting/exceeding minimum levels of performance against key measures
- existence of sound business practices, including relevant documentation, processes and systems
Continuous improvement is demonstrated by
- positive trends in results against agency and Housing Registrar key performance indicators
- achievements against business plan objectives and targets
Agency regulatory review
This is the major regulatory activity of its type undertaken with registered housing agencies. Reviews are conducted between December and March each year after receipt of annual reporting documentation, due within 28 days of an agency's annual general meeting.
