Resources for agencies
General guidance
Registering agencies must provide information for each Performance Standard against performance measures and quality management questions. Agencies must also provide supporting documentation. Specific guidance around information and evidence requirements for each Standard is available in registration [pdf 353kb].
Legal advice
Following the registration pilot project in 2007, we commissioned legal advisors, Minter Ellison Lawyers to write guidance on registration criteria - constitution [pdf 73kb] and winding up provisions [pdf 34kb].
Agencies should use the guidance to evaluate their own constitutions and consider what issues may impact when complying with Schedule 7. Agencies should also seek their own legal advice.
Community Housing Federation of Victoria
The Community Housing Federation of Victoria (CHFV) is the peak body for community housing providers in Victoria. It plays an active role in supporting agencies to prepare and apply for registration.
CHFV has developed information and resources on their website to assist with registration covering topics such as
- constitution check
- tax status
- business planning
- forums and training
