Registration pilot project
Aim of pilot
We conducted a pilot project over the period October 2006 to May 2007. The pilot assisted in finalising a registration application and assessment system for future agencies.
Staged assessment
The pilot project worked through an assessment process to determine type and optimum level of evidence required that
- demonstrated an agency meets the relevant registration criteria category (housing association or housing provider)
- minimised the regulatory burden of registration
- provided an appropriate platform for ongoing regulatory engagement
Evaluation
The Community Housing Federation of Victoria (CHFV) completed a pilot evaluation. The evaluation report [pdf 520kb] highlighted key issues and provided valuable feedback and suggestions. 
In response to CHFV's evaluation, we produced taking registration forward [pdf 71kb], a report on key messages to the sector from pilot learnings.
