Legislative powers
On 1 January 2005, the Housing Act 1983 [pdf 2mb] was amended, introducing a new system of regulation for non-government rental housing agencies. Our approach to regulation and registration is underpinned by this legislation, particularly Part VIII, and Schedules 7 and 8.
